Do you ever feel like you don't make enough time for yourself? Being a mom, I often put my little guys needs before mine and don't take the time I need to feel that sense of fabulous-ness that I once did. I am always rushing around trying to juggle work, my family, running a business, and my social life. Finding the time to make myself appear and feel fabulous seemed to be a distant memory. But that is not necessarily the way it has to be. By just giving yourself a few minutes to a half an hour everyday, you can use these clever tricks to your advantage and both look and feel like a million bucks!

1. Choose a foundation over powder

Foundation often times has everything you need in it including a moisturizer, sun block and a nice tint to hide any blemishes and even out your skin tone.

2. Buy make-up that does multiple jobs

Next time you are in the market for make-up, purchase a bronzer that doubles as eyeshadow or mascara that curls and lengthens your eyelashes.

3. Keep the Mani Managed

Chipped fingernail polish never looks good. Carry the bottle with you when you are going away on a trip or when you know you may be doing something that will cause the paint to chip. Another trick is to wear nail colors that are close to your natural nail color. That way if it does chip, it won't be as obvious.

4. Plan Ahead for Personal Grooming

Take one hour out of your busy schedule every few months to work on scheduling in time to update your looks. Make sure to book that hair coloring appointment before your roots get out of control, while also making sure to keep up on your haircut appointments, manicures, pedicures or whatever else you think is important to keep on top of.

5. Give Yourself Morning Time

Even waking up 15 minutes earlier than your usual time can make a huge difference in your day. Maybe you take that 15 minutes to curl  your hair, or find the perfect accessories to go with your outfit. Either way, it prevents the stress of feeling rushed while also allowing you a few extra minutes to get your glam on!

6. Wear Perfume

Even on your off days, it is nice to be able to breathe in a whiff of your favorite smell.

7. Practice Good Posture

You won't feel so achy at the end of the day (at least not from bad posture)! Also good posture will help you will feel more confident as well as appear more confident.

8. Learn to Love Hairspray

Hairspray is such a great versatile product. You can use it to tame your frizz or fine hair fly-aways. You can also use it in between styling. If your hair is dirty or limp and you don't have a can of dry shampoo on hand, mist your roots and blast it with a little heat from the blow dryer for about a minute. I love that so many different hairsprays come in trial sizes. It makes it easy to stash in your purse.

9. Cool Things Down

For the last minute or so of your shower, use cold water instead of hot when rinsing your hair. It makes it easier to comb through and it will be much shinier and healthy looking. This trick also works when blow drying. While it might not feel as good in the winter months, putting your blow dryer on cold will make your hair much smoother and will appear shinier.

10. Drink More H2O

Becoming dehydrated can lead to a mess of problems including headaches, fatigue, lack of focus and poor skin. Not drinking enough water really isn't good for your body. So make sure to drink enough water to keep yourself feeling good and refreshed. The first sign of dehydration is actually when you start to feel thirsty, so keeping a bottle of water handy isn't such a bad idea.
