This festive little Halloween wreath is both very simple to make and the supplies needed are pretty inexpensive, costing no more than $10 to create. I think this would be a perfect project to do with the kids since majority of the project is tying knots! Supplies:
1. I layed the tulle out, cutting it in strips that were about 5 inches wide by 12 inches long. The tulle strips don't have to be exactly that size, but whatever size you deicde on, it helps to stay consistent. I ended up using around 250 strips. 2. Tie the strips around the embroidery hoop. I did this while sitting on the floor watching TV (hence the blurry picture below) This part of the project should take the most time. It took me about 45 minutes. As far as tying the tulle to the embriodery hoop, I didn't double knot and what I ended up doing is tying the tulle strips around the embriodery hoop randomly, then scrunched them toegether periodically.

- Halloween Ribbon (it is 50% off now at Michaels Arts & Crafts making it $1.99)
- Embroidery Hoop ($2.99)
- Scissors
- Glitter Glue (optional- I ended up not using it)
- 5 yards of Black Tulle ( I bought a pack found in the wedding aisle at Michaels Arts & Crafts, but you probably could get it cheaper at an actual fabric store. I happened to have a 50% off coupon making it $4.99 and I used the entire package

3. After I had all the tulle strips tied to the embroidery hoop, I then tied little pieces of the Halloween ribbon randomly throughout to add pops of color & sparkle. I also cut a longer piece of ribbon (around 14") to hang the wreath. Then I tied a little bow using the same Halloween ribbon and placed it on top of the wreath connecting the bow to the ribbon piece the wreath is hanging from.
If you wanted to use glitter glue, I would just dab little dots around the wreath to give it some sparkle, although this is completely optional and not even something I did because I didn't think it needed it with the Halloween ribbon I chose.
The finished project picture below. As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to leave a comment!
