For todays Fashionable Friday article, I thought it would be fun to cover the ombre trend.
 
What is ombre you might ask? I won't get all technical but it is a french term basically referring to a gradual change in shade from light to dark or from one color to another. 
 
If you happen to be a Project Runway Fan, this seasons designer Olivier Green created an ombre dress during the pet store challenge. See picture below:

While that specific ombre effect was created in an unconventional way (yes, that is hamster bedding Olivier used) there are many other ways ombre is showing up in todays fashion.

There is even such a trend as having ombre hair. Both stylists and celebrities agree that "ombre hair" is a more natural looking style opposed to the enduring "visible root" trend.
