Finally, we are down to the top 10 designers after 6 grueling episodes of eliminations, but not without some bickering. Surprise Surprise! Josh C. and Bert are back at it again. Anyway,  this weeks challenge the designers were to work in two teams of five. They were then to create a textile pattern, along with creating five looks in addition to putting on a runway show complete with a video that was to play in the background while each teams looks graced the runway.  I don't know what it is with all the team challenges this season, but I am not so much a fan.

Because Anthony Ryan was the winner of the last challenge, he was able to choose his first team mate and without a doubt he picked Anya. Joining their team was Viktor, Bryce and Olivier who made up  "Team Chaos" (The teams were required to have a name).

The other team consisted of John M., Becky, Laura, Kim and Bert. Their team name, after much bickering, became team Nuts & Bolts.

There was a lot going on in this episode. I mean, the designers have enough trouble getting a garment made without breaking down into tears much less putting on an entire fashion show. You could just sense the stress and tension in the air. To help the designers get a feel of what they needed to accomplish, crazy Betsy Johnson made a guest appearance. She eagerly  and enthusiastically  danced around showing the designers a video that she had accompany her textile collection from Spring 2011.  When Heidi announced the challenge, she made it clear there are no team leaders, that  all the designers were to be created equal and they were supposed to work together collectively. HA!

Anyway, Betsy Johnson also gave a short and sweet pep talk, which in summary was that the designers NEEDED to have a cohesive collection. That is accomplished by working together in a productive way. I don't even think that is possible on this show anymore.

Team Nuts & Bolts never got along from the moment the team was established. Josh C.  was on a rampage, bossing his fellow team mates around, arguing with Bert and just creating a scene, you know...the things he is seemingly known for.

After realizing his nonsense was becoming overwhelming for most of the other designers,  Josh C. states he has a public service announcement..oh geez.  He apologizes for his bad attitude. Most designers accept his apology and continue on with their work. He again blames the loss of his mother from two years ago for his erratic behavior. Look, I couldn't imagine what he is going through. I know it has to be tough and this is just his way of grieving but REALLY? This is a show about fashion, creativity and designing and I feel like his attitude is just not acceptable episode after episode. He  is just straight up rude and I feel like it takes away from not only the show and the other designers capabilities. Just my thought.

In the midst of getting the collections together, half of each team headed over to Mood Fabrics to choose the supplementary fabric that would be incorporated into the textiles they designed. The other half of the teams gallivanted around the streets of New York City filming for the video they needed to create. After editing videos and adding the last little details to the collections, the designers2 day challenge came to an end and it was time for the show.

Onto the runway, alongside the regular judges Heidi Klum, Michael Kors and Nina Garcia were guest judges Rachel Roy and actress Rose Byrne. After the judges saw each collection grace the runway, it was clear that Team Chaos took the win.  The winner of this challenge was to be chosen from the winning group, which was Anya  with her beautifully made dress. I am glad she won, she deserved a win.

The bottom two designers were Becky and Joshua from the Nuts & Bolts team. Overall the teams looks were poorly designed and all too literal. The  judges felt that Beckys' designs are too boring and that Joshua really made his team fail by being such a hard headed bully. With not much thought, they sent Becky packing up her work space.

Josh C.  lives to bully another challenge. Ugh.
