LittleMissKnowitAll here: I know some of you have been wondering why we have a fashion blogger here at cincysavers.com. Well, one of the biggest expenses women have every year is on clothing and accessories. If you've been to one of my coupon classes then you know I talk about the grocery experience of having a full pantry with "nothing to eat" in it. We often find the exact same trap in our closets! We get used to seeing the same clothing day in and day out, wearing it the same way, until we end up with a full closet but nothing to wear. When that happens, we go shopping--but often, we don't need to! I woke up Tuesday morning and had that exact experience--a closet full of clothes but nothing to wear. Everything either seemed very blah, I'd worn it to the office already the past week or I just couldn't figure out how to wear it to make it look good. So I texted Megan and asked her if she would mind helping me out. (Have I mentioned lately how much I love having her on staff?) She agreed and below are the results. I wore a basic white top from Sarah Jessica's Steve and Barry's line ($7) and a pair of jeans from New York & Co. ($23) Then I emptied my closet of my accessories, packed them in a bag and dumped them on Megan's desk. She helped me create four different looks and learn to use them in new ways! Everything I brought in had been in my closet for at least a year--and she made magic with it right there in our office. I had the shopping bug yesterday morning, now I don't. She saved me at least $100 by helping me create whole new outfits out of clothing I already owned. And that, my friends, is the beauty of a savings-savvy fashionista. I love having her on staff!
