Finding a job in today's job market is tough. With a limited number of jobs available in this struggling economy, it's more important than ever to find something that will give you an edge in one of the most competitive job markets in history.

So what do you do to get that edge? It's time to go back to school. Not only will it help you stand out among the competition, but having focused training also helps strengthen your job security and increases your value to your employer once you are hired. For this reason, adult learning programs - like the ones offered at Warren County Career Center - are perfect for the eager professional willing to take the extra steps necessary to stand out in the job market.

Get certified in a career field in less than a year, and upgrade your resume with your new skills. "Never before have increased skills and lifetime learning been more critical to personal success. Competition is strong - and those who are prepared with skills and training are the ones getting hired," says Tom Harris, Director of Adult Education and Workforce Development at Warren County Career Center.

At Warren County Career Center (WCCC), the adult learning programs are fast, flexible and affordable. You'll get high-quality training in interesting, employable fields like Cosmetology, Information Technology, Medical Assisting, Commercial Truck Driving, Firefighting and more! With full- and part-time programs, plus online courses, you'll find something that's perfect for your interests and your schedule. Check out their online catalog here.

Taking courses at Warren County Career Center (WCCC) can only benefit you. And, you'll have access to a support system you won't find on your own. For instance, at WCCC, you'll have a counselor to help you decide what class/career choice is best for you, financial aid and a job placement coordinator to help you find a job after you complete your classes. "We participate with area chambers of commerce and other area business groups to stay connected and current on the needs of our business community," says Donna Cox, WCCC's Business and Industry Coordinator.

WCCC offers classes at their main campus just north of Lebanon and at their South Campus in Kings Mills. And, all medical career training is now being offered in the Greentree Health Science Academy , a brand-new facility on the Atrium Medical Center campus in Middletown, dedicated to connecting students to promising futures in health care careers.

Students at WCCC are hard-working and have been able to see significant changes in their lives from continuing their education. Charlene Robinson, a graduate of the Medical Assistant program, says, "Coming to the Career Center was one of the best things that has happened to me. I love what I do now, and I learn something every day."

And WCCC gives students what they need to succeed. Judy Nichols, a recent graduate from the Firefighter/EMT program, says, "Thanks WCCC for helping make a career change! I received excellent instruction and the hands-on experience necessary to obtain my certificates."
