During this holiday weekend, we're re-running some of our most popular posts chock full of timeless savings tips. Our goal is to bring you freedom from ever paying full price again! Below is one of our most popular posts from our Savings 101 section, in our Beyond the Basics series.

We hope you have a great holiday weekend!

Do you love to shop online? When I bought my laptop last year, I discovered the world of online shopping and haven't turned back since! Whether you prefer to shop from behind a computer screen, or would rather experience the ambiance of the store, there are a few websites you should know about that can help you save money, without sacrificing quality. Here are my top picks:

Amazon
The giant of all online stores, Amazon has just about anything you're looking for, at competitive prices. I started shopping on Amazon when I realized they sell college textbooks for drastically lower prices than the campus bookstores and since then I've found my Dyson vacuum cleaner for $200 off, my Nikon D3000 camera for about half the retail price and much more.
My favorite thing about Amazon is the free Amazon Prime two day shipping for students. This is my second year with Amazon Prime and it makes shopping online that much sweeter when shipping is fast and FREE! If you're a current student, sign up for Amazon Student while the offer is available!

Etsy
If you're ever looking for an original item, Etsy is a great site to turn to. Most of the merchandise is handmade so what you order isn't mass produced. Most sellers also allow you to add your own personal touch to the item, whether you want it in another color, or personalized with a name, etc. I shopped on Etsy quite a bit while planning my wedding and was always happy with the results! You can find just about anything from jewelry, to furniture and the prices are usually less than what you'd find in a store.

Overstock.com
Overstock.com has tons of merchandise like bedding, jewelry, office supplies, and clothing - all for discount prices. I love to browse their clearance bins to find the best deals and shipping is always just $2.95 for your entire order!

Rue La La
Do you crave designer items, but usually cringe at the price tags? Check out Rue La La, an exclusive shopping experience that offers designer boutiques that begin at 11 a.m. Monday through Friday and last for 48 hours. You can find designer brands like BCBG and La Perla for 50 to 80 percent off! So far I've found great items from Betsey Johnson and Juicy Couture at prices I can afford and I'm constantly checking back to see what the latest boutiques are offering.

Covet
I love this site! When you first join Covet, you take the "Stylyzer" test, which analyzes your personal style based on which photos of celebs' style you prefer. After you find out your perfect style, you pick your shoe, shirt, dress and pant sizes, what your max price range is and your favorite brands. Each day (or however often you want Covet to email you) they send me the deals of the day that fit my categories. It's pretty accurate - I love just about everything they email me and it's all within my price range!

Ulta
Ulta has nearly every skincare and beauty item you could possibly want, and are constantly having great sales! I love that they offer top brands like Smashbox and bareMinerals for competitive prices. Plus, every day there's some special deal of the day to take advantage of.

Hautelook
Hautelook is similar to Rue La La in that you can enjoy 50-75 percent off designer brands by shopping boutiques that are available for a limited time. I love their Deal of the Day feature and they frequently have brands I love at cheaper prices than other stores.
