Are you heading somewhere for the July 4th holiday weekend? I just found a great deal on a rental car for this weekend and wanted to share! Using the Priceline.com Name Your Price feature, I just booked a mid-size rental for $14/day from Alamo.  Because our cars are older, we typically will rent cars when we take road trips, to save on the wear and tear on our cars. I won't pay more than $15-$16 a day for a rental car. Even after taxes, we save enough in gas mileage, wear and tear on our car, and the comfort of a newer model car to justify the small expense. (I have a 1998 Honda CR-V) Based on my past experience when I arrive at Alamo we'll get bumped up to a "standard" size car--typically a Nisson Altima or Ford Fusion. Including taxes and fees our total was $70 for three days.  Don't forget you can also redeem your Pump Perks at any Speedway gas station nationwide!
