One of the things we believe in very strongly here at cincysavers.com is that every person can make a difference in the world, no matter what their position is in life. Especially when you live like we do--with savings and stockpiling the potential for helping others is HUGE! When we saw the devastation in Alabama last week, we knew we had to do something to help. So many people lost everything they had. I'm thrilled to announce that we are going to be hosting a donation drive to collect items for the people affected by last week's storms. All items will go to Matthew 25 Ministries, who have teams on the ground in Alabama helping people recover from the storm damage.  We'll be out at the Kroger in Newport this Saturday, May 7th from 12 pm to 2 pm collecting any and all donations! Below is a list of items that are on sale this week that would make great donations. Matthew 25 Ministries has told us that certain items are of high need right now: 

• diapers and baby wipes
• health supplies:  over the counter medicines, first aid supplies, band aids, etc.
• beauty and personal care items:  shampoo, toothpaste, deodorant, personal hygeine supplies, shaving items, toilet paper, etc
• household cleaning items: laundry detergent, dish detergent, paper towels, disinfectants, bathroom cleaners, etc.
• non-perishible food items will be accepted

• financial donations
