Did you know that Amazon has a grocery section? It does! It also frequently offers sales--and has manufacturer coupons as well! I find a lot of good deals on grocery items on Amazon. Especially on items that rarely go on sale or don't have a deep discount. For instance, I'll often order my Keurig k-cups through Amazon; my daughter's Horizon Organic milk singles; large packs of Sunmaid raisins; plus other speciality or organic items! Typically their prices are a bit higher than the stores on most items, especially if you use coupons. But sometimes the convenience of not having to go to the store outweighs the extra expense. Or in the case of the items listed above, they're items that often are the same price or LESS on Amazon! There's a few ways to save on groceries with Amazon.
- The most common one is the Subscribe & Save feature. If there is an item you buy frequently, the subscribe function will allow you to set it up in advance to purchase and ship the order at regular intervals. I tend to set mine up for every three months.
- The second way is the coupon code. Quite frequently different manufacturers will offer their products at a 20% - 50% discount. Right now Amazon is offering up to 40% off several common grocery items. 30% off Lipton products, 25% off Pop-Tarts, 40% off Eight O'Clock coffee, and up to 60% off several organic products, including Earth's Best organic baby foods!
- The last type is one we are all familiar with, just not on Amazon--the manufacturer coupon! Log in to your account and check the grocery section--there should be several pages of manufacturer coupons you may use on your orders. They can vary from person to person, but right now I see coupons for Tide, Crest, Bounty and more!
Add in the free Prime two-day shipping, and you can easily see why Amazon is such a great alternative for those huge shopper's clubs like Sam's and Costco.
