As a busy single mom who works full time, I still need to find ways to save money. I have been a deal hunter for about four years. I like to shop at places which are easy and convenient because my life can be quite hectic. Kroger really fits the bill. Their Cartbuster Savings Event was a great way for me to stock up on some things that my daughter and I use regularly. In addition, the sale allowed me to show someone else, a man who does not use coupons, that you can save great money easily at Kroger. I gathered my Internet coupons and circular coupons. I was telling my boyfriend how much I could save and how much he could, too. He does not clip coupons regularly because he does not have the time. I presented him with a great alternative: digital coupons. I loaded some awesome digital coupons right on my phone (yes, Kroger has an app for that) and we went to the store. I showed him how to get Schick razors for less than $2 after digital coupon, his favorite Pepperidge Farm bread for 50 cents off, Charmin for $2.99 and Bounty for $3.99. He also got his favorite shampoo, Pantene, at a great discount since it was on sale and had a digital coupon. At the end of the trip, I had spent $60.87 and saved $137.98 on 96 items. Kroger gave me not only the opportunity to save with this great sales event, but to also show someone else how easy it is to save money by shopping with them. Check out my savings story below! And join me every week in the Kroger forum, where we and other deal hunters share and discuss the best deals.
