STORE LOYALTY PROGRAM: Remke bigg's is the product of Remke Markets and bigg's hypermarkets merging in 2010. As they merge the two systems you can use either stores' shopper's cards at any location and still receive your discounts. MANUFACTURER COUPONS: Remke bigg's accepts manufacturer coupons and doubles them if they have a face value of $.50 or less. Coupons that are more than $.50 are "doubled" up to $1. This means that if you have a coupon for $.75 off, Remke bigg's won't really double it to give you another $.75 off, but will give you $.25 off to make the total savings equal a $1. Keep in mind that their registers will only double 12 identical coupons per transaction, and they will also only accept one manufacturer and one store coupon per product. STORE COUPONS: Remke bigg's offers store coupons, but does not have any kind of Catalina or instant-rebate program. However, they do often offer mail-in rebate promotions that are pretty good! In fact, with their mail-in rebate program they not only make the rebates available, but they will print the extra receipt, fill out the form and mail it for you! I can't tell you the number of times I buy items but forget to submit the rebate-so how great is it that Remke bigg's makes rebates hassle-free? PRINTABLE COUPONS: Remke bigg's accepts printable coupons. (Please note these following printable coupon tips are not Remke bigg's-specific). Print your coupons from reliable sources, like from the grocery coupons section of cincysavers.com. Don't ever use coupons that pull up in Microsoft Word or a similar program. Stores do not put out coupons in this manner. OTHER STORES' COUPONS: Kroger does not accept competitor coupons. RAIN CHECKS: Remke bigg's does not offer rain checks. PROMOTIONS: One of Remke bigg's most popular promotions is Super Doubles, where they change the rules a bit on their normal coupon doubling policy and give you some great savings. For instance, coupons up to $1 will double, coupons over $1 but less than $2 will round up to $2 and coupons over $2 will be redeemed at face value. GAS REWARDS: Remke bigg's has partnered with Speedway to offer fuel savings in their Pump Perks program. Unlike Kroger's fuel program, Pump Perks can be earned two different ways-first by purchasing specific items marked with Pump Perks rewards, second by earning $.01 on every $10 you spend at Remke bigg's. For example, if you buy $50 in groceries at Remke bigg's, you will earn $.05 in Pump Perks. If, in that purchase, you bought milk, and milk had a $.05/gallon Pump Perk attached to it, then those add together to give you $.10 in Pump Perks. Some Pump Perks basics:
- Pump Perks discounts are off a gallon of gas, up to 20 gallons per fill-up.
- They are one-time use only.
- Pump Perks expire at the end of the month following the month you earn them in. (If you earn $.25 in Pump Perks on 10/29, then you have until 11/30 to use them.)
- All Speedway stations participate in Pump Perks. Check the Remke bigg's or Speedway websites for a list of participating locations.
- Pump Perks accumulate-if you earn $.40 on 11/08, then earn another $.25 in Pump Perks on 11/20, you will have $.65 in Pump Perks discounts.
- They must be used all at one time and cannot be split up between different savings levels.
- You must pay at least $.10 per gallon for your fuel. For example, if fuel is $2.58 a gallon and you have $2.60 in Pump Perks, only $2.48 a gallon will be deducted. The extra $.10 in Pump Perks will remain in your account for a future fuel purchase.
- Pump Perks are calculated on the after-coupon total on your receipt. If your total before coupons was $238 and after it was $98, you would receive Pump Perks on the $238 total.
