RETURN PRACTICE

We will gladly accept your return or exchange of unworn, unwashed merchandise by mail. Unwashed, unworn merchandise can also be returned or exchanged at any LOFT location with the exception of select merchandise explicitly noted below. Purchases made online cannot be returned or exchanged at Ann Taylor stores, Ann Taylor Factory stores or LOFT outlet stores.

Returns accompanied by the original receipt within 60 days of the date of purchase will be credited for the price paid either in the original form of payment or a merchandise exchange.

Returns accompanied by the original receipt more than 60 days after the date of purchase will be credited for the current selling price either in the form of a merchandise credit* or a merchandise exchange.

Returns without the original receipt will be credited for the item's current selling price on the date of the return, in the form of a merchandise credit.* Merchandise deemed Final Sale on the date of the return may not be returned or exchanged.

Purchases of reduced price merchandise that have the words 'Final Sale' in the description, and/or a .44 or .88 price ending, are deemed Final Sale and may not be returned or exchanged.
*A merchandise credit for online returns will be issued by e-mail as an E-Gift Certificate. A valid email address must be provided.
Maternity returns
Maternity merchandise cannot be returned to stores and must be returned via mail (with the exception of "Final Sale" purchases which cannot be returned to stores or via mail). Details on how to return by mail are listed below under Returning or Exchanging by Mail.
Swimwear returns
Swimwear merchandise cannot be returned to stores and must be returned to LOFT.com via mail. "Final Sale" purchases cannot be returned to stores or via mail. The hygienic lining must be attached to the merchandise for the return to be accepted. Details on how to return by mail are listed below under Returning or Exchanging by Mail.
Uneven exchanges
If the total value of your exchange is less than the total value of returned items, you'll receive the difference in the form of a gift certificate. Please be sure to specify the type of gift certificate you prefer on your receipt. Click here for more details on LOFT Gift Certificates. If the total value of your exchange is greater than the total value of returned items, please indicate the credit card to be charged for the difference. 
Returning or Exchanging a Gift
If you have received a gift from LOFT that you would like to return or exchange, please return your gift along with the gift receipt included in your package to the address provided.

For gift returns that are received within 60 days of the transaction date, you will receive an Online E-Gift Certificate for the amount paid by the sender.

For gift returns that are received more than 60 days after the transaction date, you will receive an Online E-Gift Certificate for the current selling price.

Please be sure to enter your e-mail address on the returned receipt to ensure you receive the online E-Gift Certificate.

If you prefer, you may choose to return or exchange your gift to any LOFT store location, with the exception of select merchandise explicitly noted on this page. Please bring your gift along with the gift receipt to the store. You will receive an In-Store Merchandise Credit for the amount paid by the sender if the return is made within 60 days of the transaction date. For gift returns made in-store more than 60 days after the transaction date, you will receive an In-Store Merchandise Credit for the current selling price. If you do not have the gift receipt, you will receive an In-Store Merchandise Credit for the current selling price.
Please note, merchandise that is deemed Final Sale may not be returned or exchanged by mail or to store locations. 
LOFT Quick Exchange Service
To save you time, we have our LOFT Quick Exchange Service. If you find that an item you ordered isn't just quite right and need a replacement as soon as possible, all you need to do is call us at 1-888-LOFT-444. We'll quickly place an exchange order, charging your preferred credit card. In addition, we'll help you make your return to our Online Store or to a LOFT Store nearest you. 
Price Adjustments
One price adjustment for merchandise purchased at full-price, which has been marked down for the first time, may be made within 7 days from the original date of purchase. Price adjustments are not eligible on special promotions, including %'s off (e.g., 25%, 40%, and 50% etc.) and $'s off. Please note, our stores are not able to process price adjustments for online orders. To request a one-time price adjustment, please e-mail us at clientservices@LOFT.com within the 7-day window. Should you be eligible for a price adjustment, we will gladly credit your original form of payment within 1 week of receipt of your email and send you an email reply confirmation. Depending on your credit card cycle, however, please allow 1-2 cycles for the credit to appear. Should you not be eligible for a price adjustment, we will reply with an email, as well. 
Returning or Exchanging by Mail
HOW TO RETURN BY MAIL
On your original receipt, indicate the items to be returned. Please help us improve our service by providing the main reason for the return using the codes listed on your receipt.

Indicate whether you prefer a refund or exchange. For exchanges, please fill out the "Exchange Details" section of your invoice, including the product information for each new item. If you are returning a gift, merchandise from an exchange order or the return is after 60 days from date of purchase, your email address is required so that an E-Gift Certificate can be sent to you.

Carefully pack your item(s), including the tags, in the original condition, and include your completed return form. Be sure to keep the top portion of your receipt for your records.

Ship the merchandise using one of the two options below:

OPTION 1: Use the convenient SmartLabelTM
  • Simply place the peel-and-stick SmartLabelTM from your invoice on your package (70 lbs or less). Be sure to remove or cover all other labels and barcodes.
  • Leave the package in your mailbox, give it to your mail carrier, drop it in any US Mail box or bring it to the post office.
    We will either deduct the $7.95 shipping fee from your return credit, or charge the card used for purchase for any exchange order greater than the return credit.

OPTION 2: Return the package on your own.
  • Pack up your item(s).
  • Select a carrier (USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc.).
  • Pay the return postage at the time of shipping.
  • Ship to the following address:
