U.S. Return Policy
You may return any online purchases to any AE and/or aerie store or by mailing item(s) to our fulfillment center at the following address:

You will be credited for the cost of the item(s) and applicable taxes. Shipping is not refunded
To return or exchange online purchases at an AE and/or aerie store, please take the packing slip included with your order and the credit card used for the original purchase. The packing slip will serve as your receipt. If you don't have your packing slip, you'll be credited the current price of the item in the form of an AE Gift Card. If PayPal was used for the original purchase, an AE Gift Card will be issued. Shipping is not refunded. Return or exchange an ae.com purchase by mail
Detach the bottom of the packing slip included with your order.
  1. On the side marked "merchandise return form," circle the item(s) you're returning. Please indicate the reason(s) for your return.
  2. If the address for the return is different from the one listed on the form, fill out the box labeled "different ship-to address" on the reverse side of the form.
  3. For returns, the original credit card will be credited or you will receive a Gift Card, depending on how the items were originally purchased.
  4. For exchanges, fill out the reverse side of the form.
  5. Pack your return securely in the original package if possible. Be sure to include the return form. Attach the shipping label provided with your original order. If you do not have your original packing slip, please include the following information with your return: bill-to name, address and phone number; ship-to name, address and phone number; order number; reason for return; and requested exchange items if applicable. Please mail all returns and exchanges to:

We recommend that all returns and exchanges be sent via a traceable carrier such as USPS, UPS or FedEx. American Eagle Outfitters is not responsible for packages not received if sent via a non-traceable carrier. Returns and exchanges must be returned prepaid; we cannot accept C.O.D. deliveries.

Exchange or return an AE store purchase by mail
Merchandise bought at any U.S. AE store can be returned or exchanged at any U.S. AE store. Store-bought items can be returned for merchandise credit only at the following address via a traceable carrier:

Returns status
Returns mailed to American Eagle Outfitters Inc. may take one to two weeks to process after you mail it. Once processed, a credit is issued to the credit card used for the original purchase. It usually takes one to two billing cycles for the credit to appear on your credit card statement. For returns on items originally purchased with an AE, aerie or 77kids Gift Card, please allow two to three weeks for processing after you mail the package to receive your new AE, aerie and/or 77kids Gift Card.
Canadian return policy
Your tax and duty will be refunded only if you return your purchase by mail to the following address:

To return ae.com, aerie.com, and/or 77kids.com merchandise by mail, tear off the bottom of the invoice that came with your order and indicate the item(s) you are returning and the reason for your return. Keep the top of the invoice for your records. Be sure to include the completed bottom of the invoice as you pack your return securely in the original package if possible. Attach the shipping label provided on the invoice or mail the package to:

You will need to pay the nonrefundable shipping costs for your return when you mail your package. Returns sent from rural Canadian addresses may take up to five weeks to process after the package is mailed.
By processing your return through Russell A. Farrow, you agree to the following:
"Once return funds are approved I authorize Revenue Canada to forward to Russell A. Farrow my approved refund of duties and taxes. I understand that refunds of duties and taxes, from Revenue Canada, may only be made within one year after the date of ordering."
AE stores in Canada cannot accept returns or exchanges and cannot refund tax and duty costs of ae.com or phone orders. AE and/or aerie stores in the United States can accept returns and exchanges, but cannot refund tax and duty costs for ae.com orders delivered to Canada.
International return policy
You may return ae.com, aerie.com and 77kids.com merchandise by mail. Fill out, detach, and keep the top of the invoice that came with your order. On the back of the form, circle the item(s) you are returning and indicate the reason for your return. Be sure to include the bottom of the invoice as you pack your return securely in the original package if possible. Attach the shipping label provided on the invoice or mail the package to:

You will need to pay the shipping costs for your return when you mail your package. We do not accept C.O.D. returns. Returns sent from international addresses take up to five weeks to process after the package is mailed. The credit to your account should appear within one to two billing statements. AE and aerie stores in the United States cannot refund tax and duty costs for online orders delivered to international addresses. You will only be refunded for the amount charged for the merchandise.
