Here's her comment: I usually buy whatever I have a coupon for, which is never generic! If I don?t have a coupon and the generic is cheaper, I might buy that instead. Example would be, Mac & Cheese, pasta, or any boxed type items. The taste is not much different. But when it comes to things that could irritate my skin, detergents, soap, tissues, etc. I will stick to the name brand. I have a few products that I'll buy only a certain name brand for, and while I like to save more than the average bear, some things are just worth my extra money. Clorox is the only bleach I'll use. Sure, generic bleach works great for cleaning, but for some reason, Clorox just does a better job on whites in the laundry. And I'll buy only Zesta brand crackers because nothing else tastes as good.
