In Tuesday Talk I give you my point of view on something, then ask for yours! Tell me what you think! I've just returned from five hours of shopping at Kroger and Remke. I went up and down each and every aisle, writing down any 'hidden' deals and prices for the itemized list. And while I did fairly well at the checkout, all the way through Kroger I kept thinking: "Where is the rest of the deals?" Between you and me, I'm starting to think this isn't the 'real' Mega Sale. I think it is a 'mini-mega'! See, every year in late October to early November Kroger has a doozy of a Mega Sale. We're talking moneymakers and freebies galore. This sale? Eh. Not many. Plus, the fall Mega typically is loaded with baking supplies, cold-weather foods and items for the holiday party cooking season. None of those are on this sale. Not a single one. There's also not any cold or flu medicines, another item typically on the fall Mega sale. I think this is a teaser, a warm-up. Because it certainly isn't the type of Mega I'm used to in October. In my opinion, the Remke/bigg's sale this week is much, much better! Fewer participating items, but for those on the list the savings percentage is much higher than it is at Kroger this week. I'm particularly fond of the free Chex mix and the cheap Toaster Strudel! Kroger likes to do this though--give small "mega" sales not that long before a big one. Sort of like a little teaser! Of course, this is just my gut instinct talking. I may be wrong. LOL, it has happened before! But if this is the 'big' Mega sale we've been waiting for, I'm disappointed. What do you think? Which sale is better? And do you think this is the big Mega we've been waiting for?
