Oh there's tons of free Halloween activities this weekend. So many in fact that we can't possibly list them all here, but if you know of a business hosting free activities or giving away free treats, please feel free to add it or any other event by replying to this post. Remember though, only COMPLETELY FREE things go here. We love giving you this list of free, fun things for you with or without your family each week and hope you get out there and have a good time, but be safe!

Lots of businesses are offering free treats to kids dressed in costumes when accompanied by an adult. Sure, it's a ploy to get the parents there to spend some money, but I like to look at is as candy I can trust. Well, more than a stranger's house, that's for sure. Plus, kids get a kick out of wearing their costumes in public, and I like getting as much wear out of each costume as possible since they grow so fast it's a giant waste of money to wear it just once. Plus it's a good excuse to make some fun out of running errands! A general tip though: some businesses will run out of candy, so these offers are good only while supplies last.
If you're in the Beechmont area, head to the Skytop Shopping Center from 4-6 p.m. and get your fill of free candy. For more info, call 513-231-6350.
Heading to Cincinnati Premium Outlets in Monroe? Not only are they passing out candy from 4-7 p.m., but there's also giving out prizes in three age groups for best costume. Check in at the information center near the food court.
Have some safe and educational fun at the Erlanger public library's Halloween party from 5-7 p.m. on Kenton Lands Road.

Looking for something to do without the kids? Tonight?s the night for Final Friday, a Cincinnati experience not to be missed. Hundreds of gallery-goers hop around town checking out art and enjoying a little urban night life. From 6-9 p.m., hop from gallery to gallery in the Pendleton Art Center and North Main Street where you?ll have you chance to meet the artists, ask questions, and even enjoy a free glass of wine or two. If you see a piece that speaks to you, Final Friday?s the time to buy because there are plenty of discounts!
Saturday, October 30
From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., check out Family Fun Day at Crestview Hills Town Center including balloon art, caricaturists and face painting. The event's going to be so much fun even Scooby Doo is coming! Stores are also handing out treats for grown-ups including coupons and free samples.
Parents with children in grades 3 or below are invited for Trunk or Treat from noon until 2 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mt. Healthy. Costumes are encouraged and there are free hayrides, face-painting and treats. For more info, call 513-522-3026.

From 1-4 p.m., stop in Happen, Inc. in Northside for a free Halloween party. Dress in costumes and enjoy fun activities and snacks. If you're never been to Happen, Inc., try to make it there at least once this year. All events in the Northside location are free, and there's tons of paid-for classes at its Beechmont location. This organization does a lot of community service and is really a fantastic group. They're also always in need of art supplies and not just the kind of things you can buy. Give them a call at 513-751-2345 and see how they can put your doll parts, paper towel rolls and other household items to good use!
Sunday, October 31
There are few simple pleasures better than a hot cup of coffee on a Sunday morning. Well, this is one of them. Head to Whole Foods in Mason at noon for Coffee-ology, where you?ll sample different roasts and maybe find a new fave. Sounds like a perfect adult respite before the insanity of Halloween on a school night begins!
Check out Booport on the Levee (you probably know it better as Newport on the Levee) from 1-4 p.m. for trick or treating, fun and even live music. Click that link for all the details.
From 4-6 p.m., head to another Trunk or Treat. This one's at the Northern Hills Christian Church in Springfield Township and includes live entertainment, candy, food and music.
Live near Alexandria? Grant's Lick Baptist Church hosts Trunk or Treat from 4-8 p.m. featuring Bible-inspired costumes, hayrides, cornhole, games and cookout.

Nothing says Halloween quite like a costume parade, so if you're near College Hill, check in at the administration building at 4:45 to start your marching. The first 50 kids get a free glow stick, so you might want to get there early.
If you're closer to Mt. Adams than College Hill, join in Halloween on the Hill with a parade starting at 5:30 and trick-or-treating until 8 p.m. at local businesses. Dress to impress though. This parade also includes a costume contest.
Want to skip trick-or-treating all together? Take part in the Harvest Party from 6-8 p.m. at Higher Ground Ministries in Fairfield. Test your skills in the Wii contest, eat healthy snacks, enjoy live entertainment and even tie-dye a T-shirt.
There's another Harvest Party at Montgomery Assembly of God from 6-8 p.m. in Montgomery featuring a trunk or treat, inflatables, music, food, games, bonfire, hayrides and a costume contest.
From 6-8 p.m., stop in UDF for a free small coffee for parents and a free mini-cup of ice cream for kids in costumes. Every year my daughter and I stop in UDF for this deal mid-way through our route. I need the boost, and she's anxious to eat one of her treats. This way, I know what she's eating is safe and I'll have time to check the candy first.
Make it a great weekend!
